Alison Riske posted a decisive win (having not dropped a set during the entire tournament) to capture the women's 2018 Surbiton Challenger title hours before Jeremy Chardy did the same on the men's side.
Top seed Yannick Hanfmann defeated Roberto Cid Subervi 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 to capture the red-clay title in Kazakhstan's Shymkent. “Shymkent has been a good place for me, as I also advanced to the final here last year,” Hanfmann commented. “I felt that it could turn out in a successful way again, as I like the conditions here.
