Cleveland, OH (August 26, 2020) – Sports management company Topnotch Management announced today the signing of rising tennis star Maria Mateas to a global representation agreement. The 21 year-old, who reached a career high of 284 in the WTA rankings, is coming off a strong year at Duke University and signed with Topnotch amongst considerable agency interest. The Durham, NC resident will be managed by agent James Beres.

Cleveland, OH (August 13, 2020) – Sports management company Topnotch Management announced today the signing of Jenson Van Emburgh, the top wheelchair table tennis player in the United States and the number 1 junior in the world for all wheelchair classes, to a global representation agreement. The 20 year-old is also currently ranked 11th on the pro para world ranking list and was selected to represent the United States at the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo, now being held in 2021. 

Cleveland, OH (October 12th, 2018) – Sports management company Topnotch Management announced today the acquisition of boutique sports marketing agency, MLC Sport, in a move that represents Topnotch Management's entry into the global soccer landscape. 

The Minneapolis-based MLC Sport represents premier talent across the soccer world and will operate as a new Topnotch Management division under the name Topnotch Soccer, continuing to be managed by founder Matt Cairns out of his Minneapolis office.

Originally from the UK, Cairns founded MLC Sport in 2015 and has demonstrated a track record of signing strong soccer talents from the UK and beyond, with his client roster composed of players in various leagues of soccer in the United States. The roster includes stars Brent Kallman, Richie Ryan and Nazmi Albadawi, and rising prospects Brett Levis and Jack Barmby.

For Topnotch Management president, Sam Duvall, the move represents the third sport division for the agency (behind tennis and golf, which launched in 2016) and illustrates a commitment to diversifying his client roster and identifying new sporting opportunities.

Cleveland, OH (August 9th, 2017) – Boutique sports management company Topnotch Management announced today the signing of rising British tennis player Cameron Norrie to a global representation agreement. The 21-year-old Norrie will be managed by Topnotch Management Agent, James Beres.

“It’s not every day you’re able to sign a talent like Cameron,” explained Beres. “His record on the court speaks for itself: he’s been one of the best college tennis players for the past three years representing Texas Christian University (TCU). What makes him a special signing for us is his work ethic and his consistency in events. We truly believe he can become one of the top tennis players in the world.”

Norrie had an outstanding three-year career at TCU before turning pro this summer. En-route to earning All-American and All-Big 12 honors, he won numerous awards such as ITA Texas Region Player to Watch, 2017 Big 12 Player of the Year, 2017 All-Big 12 Singles First Team, 2017 All-Big 12 Doubles Second Team, 2017 Big 12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and 2017 Big 12 All-Tournament Team: No. 1 Singles.

This past summer has seen a number of high profile wins for Cameron, including his first ATP main draw victory after defeating the no. 49 ranked Horacio Zeballos, at the 2017 Aegon International Eastbourne. South African-born Norrie also won his first ATP Challenger Tour title this past July in Binghamton, New York, against ATP Top-100 player, Jordan Thompson. The 21-year-old Norrie is currently ranked a career high no. 187 in the ATP rankings.
